I finished my job with Tracy Brunstrom and Hammond  – a project consulting group in Australia when I was offered a contract renewal with Proflight Zambia in late March 2011.   The work visa renewal with my past experience gave me about 2.5 months of downtime to play with.   This seemed like the perfect opportunity to knock out another life goal – flying a microlight through Africa.

Calculated as:

2 weeks to get my license on a microlight

and 2 months to fly through various African countries with the goal being the Serengeti in northern Tanzania.

The clock is ticking all the time as to when.if the visa comes through and I have to make my way to Zambia to start my job as a commercial pilot.

The lest time spent training, means the longer time flying.

The longer the work visa takes, means the longer time flying.

The longer time flying means the higher the cost.

Tick Tock.
