| Biography: | Born and
'educated' in New Zealand, grew up in Auckland and went to Howick
College. After which I went down to Victoria Uni in Wellington.
Took a holiday to australia after the first year and spent a little too long
there (hey the drinking age was on 18!) Came back to NZ after 5 months
and started work as a Graphic Designer with what little experience I had.
After another 18 months I had saved up enough money and fled the country
again with my ol' pal Alex James off
to Hong Kong.
3 Jobs and 5 Years later, I decided it was time to move on again. Off to Denver I flew to get my pilots license and see the states. $20k later and out of money, Europe seemed like a good place to be next. So two months down the track after I got the work visa I showed up at Heathrow without, and some nice time on the beach in Antibe in between, I got a place down in Tower Hill (beside the bridge) and spent the next year in London, working at JPMorgan as a Project Manager in their Equities Division. This time it only took 1 year before I needed a break from the City, hence I took another Project Manager position with the UK Government for the Environmental Agency working from the Bristol offices and living a good 20 miles away in a nice little cottage in the Cotswolds. Swinging back and forth after a year of that, I needed to get back into the thick of things and was given a working visa to come over to America to work with Spherion originally as a consultant in Chicago. Was with Spherion for 4 years, and saw the .com boom/gloom through a role in a startup, as well a spectrum of positions and U.S. cities in between. Now out on da road . . . | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hobbies: | Reading, motorcycling, helicopter and fixed wing flying, scuba junkie, skydiving and was (sigh) an enthusiastic mountain biker once. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Travel History: | 44 countries and 6 continents so far . . . My favorite places that I have been to are Iceland (Holmavik!), Vietnam (Nah Trang), Morocco (scorpion waking me up in the Sahara by inspecting my face) I can't wait for Kyrgyzstan which has always been another aspiration. My goal is to live and work in all 7 continents (4 so far) and experience the symphony of cultures those continents have to offer. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My Favorite Moments: | This could be many things. But what I really enjoy doing above all is two. One is to inspire others to fulfill their potentials and assist them in doing so if they so require. Secondly is to sit in a cozy cafe, located in a city I have not been to before, sipping a smooth cappuccino whilst perusing a great book and watching the crowds. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Motorcycles: | First bike was in New Zealand, since then done Vietnam on a trip, as well as having a bike in Hong Kong. The Dakar is my second F650 and was purchased specifically for this trip | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
